Regarding Your SeaPen

  • 1) Confirm that the control box has power. If no power, check GFCI breaker on the dock and that the power cord is secure.

    2) Check that the airline connection is secure.

    3) Make sure the corner of the gate is not stuck under the dock.

Refer to page 6 of the SeaPen owners guide for more details.

  • 1) Confirm that the control box has power. If no power, check GFCI breaker on the dock and that the power cord is secure

    2) Push the UP button on your app remote and let the SeaPen run its entire UP cycle. Once complete, push the DOWN button on your app remote again. This will purge any air trapped in the gate.

    3) Make sure nothing is restricting the gate from dropping.

If the above does not solve the issue, remove the quick disconnect air line from the control box to bypass the control box completely and lower the gate manually.

  • The system is finding its programmed DOWN position. During certain conditions, the gate will drop twice before the it finds its programmed DOWN position. Do not remove the boat under power until the light is solid blue, or the gate is showing completely down in the app.

Refer to page 5 of the SeaPen owners guide for more details.

  • 1) Confirm control box has power. If no power, check GFCI breaker on the dock and that the power cord is secure.

    2) Unplug control box for 10 seconds then plug back in, this will reset the system.

If the above does not solve the issue, use the hard-wired hand remote located in the control box to operate the SeaPen.

Refer to page 13 of the SeaPen owners guide for more details on manually controlling your SeaPen.

  • 1) Confirm control box has power. If no power, check GFCI breaker on the dock and that the power cord is secure.

    2) Confirm the power cord for the pump is secure in the control box.

    3) Confirm that the pump system is turned on. If the automatic pump system has been turned off, there will be blue blinking light on the box and will show not active in the app.

    4) Visually inspect the two 10amp fuses inside the control box under the clear cover within the electronics module. If one of these fuses is burnt out the water pump that the fuse is protecting will not operate and the fuse will need to be replaced. If the fuse burns out again that indicates a short circuit in the pump wiring or motor.

    5) Unplug the control box, wait 10 seconds, & then plug back in. If there is water in the SeaPen the pumps will automatically turn on.

    1) Open the lid of the control box & visually inspect LED lights inside the control box under the clear cover of the electronics module. If the control box is connected to the network, there will be a BLUE (cyan) LED that is pulsing (breathing) on the BORON cell module. If the control box is not connected to the network, there will be a GREEN LED that is blinking on the BORON cell module. If there are NO LIGHTS lit anywhere on the circuit board, that confirms power is disconnected to the box.

    2) Are any of the membrane hooks disconnected allowing the membrane to drop below the surface of water?

If so, contact SeaPen support to have new hooks shipped for to be replaced manually or by a SeaPen technician.

    3) Are the gate hinge membrane hook shock cords drooping and allowing the membrane to droop below the surface of the water?

If so, please get them lifted above the water and call SeaPen support for a service call to replace.

  • SeaPen has detected that the gate has dropped without being commanded to do so and is unable to correct the issue. This is likely due to a disconnected air hose, preventing the gate from being re-filled with air. Please check the quick disconnect for the airline located on the right side of the control box to ensure it is secure and undamaged.

  • Receiving a gate sensor disconnect error means that the gate sensor has either lost communication or has been disconnected. The control box will alternate between blue and amber LEDs. With this error, your SeaPen will not operate but don't worry!

Contact service@solsticedockingsolutions.com to override the error so you can continue to operate the SeaPen manually until the gate sensor is repaired.
